Onya Andrew Forrest
Great presentation and even better Q&A session.
Let's all remember, we're not arguing from a position of strength today, Twiggy can only organise what he's allowed to organise.
If he wants the endorsement of World Rugby he has to accept the conditions that the ARU put on the league. That (at the moment) will mean running it with a small number of teams, running so it doesn't interfere with the clusterfizzle that will be SupeRugby.
After the Inquiry releases its report I suspect there will be a shift of power. THe ARU will have put itself significantly behind the 8-ball and Twiggy will be able to generate significant concessions simply by convincing RugbyWA not to push for the FOrce to be included in the outdated and doomed competition.
This will be pretty easy for Twiggy to arrange, since RugbyWA appear to have moved on and the WA Rugby Public wouldn't support a team in the corrupt cesspool that SupeRugby is anymore anyway.

I know I am a Luddite, but I wasn't sure if I was watching the launch of a new rugby competition or a new theme park. Seems that the entertainment factor is more important than the rugby factor.
I'm sticking with WA community rugby for now I think.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
I suggest what this means is that the EARU is a bit slow in it's decision making.
THAT SHOULDN'T SURPRISE ANYBODY.
The EARU have a 2 Nov deadline to respond.
In any event the IPRC will be presenting in Japan on 14 Nov.
If/when the IRB approve this as a Tier 2 competition then it doesn't need any other approvals to move forward.
Referees etc will be made available from the member/interested countries.
It's conceivable that the IPRC progresses with IRB sanction while the EARU tries to find its bum with both hands.
Wouldn't it be embarrassing if the IPRC said we're prepared to make our players available for the Wallabies but the EARU blocks them.
I quite like the idea of going head to head against Super Rugby with timing as it's catering for a totally different audience.
Australia's East Coast have already shown us that it doesn't give a rats about WA so why thould they care?
The expanded IPRC could easily replace Super Rugby beyond 2020.
It also frees up the International Rugby calendar so that International Tests occur after the world-wide domestic competions.
In that July - November window. The IRB have been working towards this for some time now.
Test matches clashing with Curry Cup, Mitre 10 Cup and NRC isn't really a problem.
This is going ahead people.......HOORAY!!!!!!
Fantastic press conference, great to finally hear Twiggy's plan for the IPRC. It was good to see WA's Julie Bishop backing the IPRC, has she shown any support for it or the Force prior to this announcement?
Very interesting in the presser when Twiggy stated that World Rugby suggested those 2 time frames and not the other mob. ARU has got a big decision to make. I get the feeling from the press conference that world rugby has already unofficially given the go ahead. Up to the ARU to prove otherwise now. Giddy up! My previous post should not be taken seriously.
Love how he left the eastern state capitals off the map of Australia!!
Loved his comment about welcoming investors, but not if they only have capital. Twiggy brings integrity along with the money, unlike some other arseholes I can mention! There’s also some seriously wealthy boys involved in running the setup, as opposed to the ERU who have..................????
Just watched the presentation and see I misunderstood the proposed timing. Have to say the scheduling won't be as bad as I thought. I have a lot of faith in Andrew Forrest's intentions. It's a start. The coach has clauses in his Rabble contract that allow to do the IPRC so I suppose July-October fits that. However there is a giant stumbling block called RWC 2019.

Q. Would he be doing this without the Western Force?
A. Absolutely not, I am doing this because of what has happened to the Western Force.
anyone notice that the IPR logo upside down resembles something else

The broadcasting/ streaming options look very interesting as well. As an aside Lou's going in hard on GAGR regarding the Melb announcement today. Welcome back Lou.
Thanks Andrew for doing something for us in the West! No one else is and I will be signing up as soon as anything is released!
