I hear what you are saying, but from the broadcasters perspective, to have pretty much back to back games on Saturday through to Sunday morning is better option for them, the channel doesn't change. They will do what is best for them and probably don't even look at what matches are in the other codes. If they had to consider all other codes and fixtures, it would be even harder to set what is already a very complex schedule.

It's huge part of the current problem with Rugby in Australia and in particular the current format of Super Rugby at the moment. Both of the other major codes had a game on last Friday night except Rugby. The ARU likes to waffle on about winning the hearts and minds of Australians but give free kicks to rival codes. The broadcasters have a say in the schedule but the final sign off would come from SANZAAR/ARU.

The TMO in last night's origin not bothering to ask for the other camera angle on the Val Holmes "try". Don't think I have ever seen that in either code before when asked to check "in touch".

Not checking Valentine Holmes foot, the constant use of blockers to give the Qld back 3 a clear shot at the ball and even on one occasion Josh Dugan was tackled by a bloke when he chasing a high ball on the Qld line. The NRL wanted a decider and the refs policed the game accordingly.
Having said that a good side can take shit refs out of a game and NSW were anything but a good side in the second half last night.
tah's "fans" who apparently hate their team.
was watching twitter and facebook last night and this morning. There are a number of people calling for them to be the team that went as a mercy killing, and a bunch of people agreeing with them.
Imagine if they got what they were asking for... i'd wager we'd be hearing a different tune if all 5 teams were being evaluated for one to go.
Well, according to many in Sydney the top level of rugby in Australia is the Shute Shield, so Sydney players shouldn't need the Waratahs to prepare them to play for the Wallabies. Therefore, dropping the Waratahs makes sense.
Also, considering their playing stocks and level of success (2014 notwithstanding), they are the most underperforming team in Oz.
