The Kings' play makes me wonder if that's what the Fijians will bring to the NRC. If so, I can't wait!

"South Africa turns on Australia in Super Rugby scrap
Media in South Africa is agitating the two teams to be forcibly culled as part of SANZAAR’s plans to reduce Super Rugby from 18 teams to 15 should come from the poorly performing Australian conference.
Under the SANZAAR plan agreed at a meeting in London in March and reinforced at Friday’s meeting in Tokyo, South Africa is required to cut two of its six teams, while Australia will cut one of five. South Africa was responsible for triggering the regrettable expansion of Super Rugby in 2016 to 18 teams.
An ARU spokesman insisted yesterday the formula was being strictly followed, but there is no question the poor performance of the Australian teams this season is playing into the hands of sections of the SA media questioning why the Southern Kings should ride in the tumbrel to the guillotine along with the *Cheetahs.
“Is it right that South Africa and Australia have four sides henceforth, when the most obvious collective weakness in the competition is coming from Down Under?” Sport24 chief writer Rob Houwing asked. “In that context, you could argue that a fitting scrap takes place next Saturday as the fired-up Kings contemplate the opportunity for another victory when the Brumbies come to town.”
The Brumbies, who have enough problems on their hands having lost four matches in succession and five of their past six, now find themselves playing for something totally unexpected — the honour of the Australian conference — when they take on the Kings at Port Elizabeth on Saturday. The Canberra-based side left yesterday for the republic, having made certain to “pack” a brilliant openside flanker in Chris Alcock, who had been missing in recent weeks because of concussion. But he is a hard-on-the-ball backrower of the kind that invariably causes the South Africans problems and certainly the Brumbies have missed him lately.
The Kings are coming last in the Africa 2 conference but still have four wins to their credit and 19 points. This puts them level with the Brumbies who have only scored three wins but, with bonus points, still lead the Australian conference from three teams that also have three wins,— the Reds (16), Waratahs (14) and Western Force (13). Irrespective of points or final overall table standings, the winner of the Australian conference gets to host a home final, as illogical as that seems. Ironically, even the Melbourne Rebels remain mathematically in the race for a finals berth despite having scored only 14 points a game, the worst figures after 10 matches in Super Rugby history.
The Rebels’ performance has been pilloried from both original Super Rugby partners, South Africa and New Zealand, but certainly the South Africans are leaving themselves wide open. Because of a quirk in the Super Rugby draw, the Kings have not met a single NZ side this year and won’t in the normal season. By contrast, four of the Rebels defeats have been at the hands of Kiwi sides that are dominating Super Rugby again."

Fu*k off South Africa.
It's your fault we are in this mess to begin with. In your desperate attempts to appease your masters in the ANC and to have a South African side have a home final youve ruined the competition.
ZA got everything they wanted now they want something else. I wonder if they will be more forthright about wanting two AUS teams to be chopped if the brumbies go down to the Kings.
I think ZA being unhappy with the current arrangements to cull teams will only help us in the short term. long term it's looks increasingly the case that we can probably do away with SR altogether and focus on the building a better domestic comp. ZA can go and play in the European comps and NZ can play with themselves.
So great to hear the wallabies coach on Kick Chase saying players can caught up in this disgrace are in charge of their own destiny! He did not come across as caring at all! Seriously came across like an arrogant d***.
What an arrogant sod! He needs to have a face to face with some angry players & their families, so they can give him a good smash in the kisser! Cheika has been on an all expenses paid "leadership" course in the States apparently, so he's trying to spout 'feel good' & 'positivity' & 'create your own destiny' shite. Wish someone would shove his destiny up his a***hole!
