Thank you for all your hard work Alison - awesome job. Agree with Dog, maybe do a quick hard hitting summary like Andrewg does on his match reports might get better traction from busy media/reporters who want the work done for them. They can always refer back to your full report for verification.
Thanks so much for your efforts Ali

Exceptional work Alison, you need to be commended for taking the time and putting what must have been a huge effort into this.
I was talking with friends on the weekend who were glibly talking about the cull, and I let them know that there are passionate, emotional human beings that form part of the Sea of blue, and they are prepared to fight for the Force's survival against all odds and you have justified my comments in full.
Thank you.

Outstanding Alison... love your work!
You've missed your calling! (unless you already are an investigative reporter, in which case, umm..... keep up the good work)
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
The $4.8million is what the ARU accounts for 2016 (and the accompanying media statement) say was the "net expenditure" arising from the ARU's investment in the alliance agreement. Certainly the $3.7m paid for the IP and licence was included in that figure but I don't know what the remaining $1.1 relates to as it's not spelt out anywhere as far as I can see.
A note to the 2016 to accounts lists the amount spent on salaraies and super for the Force staff and players ($4.7m all up) so maybe the $1.1m is a combination of that cost mitigated by some sponsorship revenue that passed from the Force to the ARU following the alliance agreement? Dunno.

Yeah, having tried to follow accounts from an organisation's annual reports before, it's very difficult to follow what is done year on year as they change the reporting structure at least every other year! Well done on getting this far, Alison.

Fantastic work Alison!
May the FORCE be with you!
Thankyou Alison. Just got to reading it as I've been busy at Kata beach with a couple of old team mates and wives pretending to be 21 again. Hard yards!
One has been heavily involved in Cantabury Rugby (NZ) all his life he is totally gobsmacked by your work.
When you decide to publish I don't think he'll be alone in that. I'guess a few journos have read it already.
Again, thankyou.

BREAKING: Melbourne Rebels to sue ARU for several million as fight breaks out between WA and Vic governments to keep a Super Rugby team.
I think they saw your figures Ali and have finally cracked!

Having seen Alison's figures what the hell are they going to sue for?
The ARU have been throwing money at them from day one!
Here have a team for free! What loans? What? You need more money? Here take as much as you want! Oh you're going to sue? Bugger!
Although I wonder how many Journos will now want to NOT publish these figures now that the matter is in the courts?
Time to send them to Wayne Smith and see if he has the balls to include them in his next article.
