The "WTF is with Australian Rugby" page on Facebook is talking about a decision being announced today. Anyone heard anything similar??

Nope, and I assume if they do a court injunction will be served an hour later.
The Alan Jones interview: ‘There’s AFL goalposts at GPS schools ... it’s a crisis’
This seems a good read (from the part I've read thus far). There a bit about the too:
"On the Western Force and Super Rugby uncertainty
"Can you believe, rugby union in the courts of the land, over a signed alliance between the game and Western Force. They've got it there from 2020. How do you get yourself out of this? The Western Force now I believe have a magnificent template for growing the game.
"They've got a South African - now Australian - coach who is passionate. They've got a funding model over there and they've got more local players in the franchise than any other club. They've grown the game and level of interest. They've even got players contributing to the fundraising structure of the game.""

The AFL and NRL boards are rolling in the aisles - the 15 aside football code in Australia is self-destructing right before their eyes.
The shambles created by the ARU got a mention in the ABC Offsiders program yesterday, and the main reaction of the 4 commentators was to laugh, because what could they say about the situation?
Sadly, this reflects the prevailing attitude of the rugby ruling class in NSW - namely, that the 15 aside game should be restored to its historical position as a game which is played by the right sort of boys from the right sort of families who went to the right sort of schools.
Perth Glory getting to the grand final yesterday will only boost their legions of fans too. Good on them - soccer deserves the success. In all honesty, rugby - under the stewardship of the ARU - has only succeeded in alienating its fanbase - including in NSW.

I used to be a massive Glory fan, stopped going to games when they were pinged for cheating the salary cap as it was a betrayal by those running the club. But this season I've started watching their games again this season and may very well think of a membership next year.
If I didn't have a horse in the survival stakes (i.e if I lived in NSW or Qld) of the current ARU clusterfuck I probably would have switched off. I've got plenty of other sports that I follow.
