All Blacks name travelling squad for Sydney
By Beth Newman
The All Blacks have named the men that they will bring across the ditch for the opening Bledisloe.
June Series debutant Elliot Dixon has been left out of the 32-man squad to come to Sydney on Sunday, spending an entire week in Australia ahead of the opening Bledisloe next Saturday.
Flanker Matt Todd and prop Kane Hames have both been included in the group, as injury cover for Joe Moody and Sam Cane, who have been closely monitored in recent days
All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said earlier in the week that he was confident Cane would overcome concussion for the opening Test, but have taken the cautious route in bringing Crusaders openside Todd along.
Sonny Bill Williams' replacement Anton Lienert-Brown has slotted straight into the squad, after news of the centre's achilles
Chiefs fullback Damian McKenize and Dixon will both be available to play for their provincial sides as the competition kicks off.
The opening Bledisloe will be held on Saturday August 20 at ANZ Stadium, kicking off at 8:05pm AEST.
