Three teams are now definitely going to play final round football.
Nedlands will play Palmyra in the semi between 2nd and 3rd and Wests will play either Kalamunda or Cottesloe.
Kala are currently one point ahead of Cott in fourth place on the ladder but Cott have in theory an easier game next week against Perth Bayswater and should take the 5 points.
Kala play Palmyra at Hartfield and again in theory have a much harder game. They will need not only to win, but to take the bonus point.
I think Kala will win, with the home game advantage, but getting the bonus point is probably too much of an ask. A lot will depend on how many "dispensational" decisions RugbyWA will be prepared to make with the competition rules and how it controls the availability of RugbyWA contracted players for either side.
In any event, if Kala wins without a bonus point, Cott will go through to the final on a better percentage, despite having won less games than Kala during the season. I'd like to see Kala get through however, as they have a greater potential for softening up Wests than Cott do.
Nedlands are starting to look like the shakier team in the finals but again a lot depends on the extent of dispensations RugbyWA will engage in.
