This article says to me that 2016 is a 'make or break' season for the Force. If we have another disastrous season it'll really test how much the ARU TRULY wants rugby to succeed in WA.

Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
As long as there's 2 AFL teams, a football & basketball team + a probable NRL team here in WA - the force won't be going anywhere. The ARU isn't just going to give up that market share to the other codes.
It's also logistically still a great location for every team but the force.
NRL are still very "next year we'll get a team there". I think the Reds taught the NRL/ARL a little about the Perth market, and the advantages of it. Instead they opted to run a S G Ball team out of Perth, not every S G Ball team has a senior counterpart you could call it ....... The Australian under '18s comp - heard any ideas like that recently?
OK, the ARU have to fund the Force losses as long as those losses are less than the "fine" imposed on ARU for putting one less match on. Or they could look to add a team in the same/similar time zone - somewhere like. Hong Kong, Tokyo

There were some interesting comments on Offsiders yesterday. From a couple of the AFL heads. Basically, non-Rugby people are not engaged for a few reasons. The two interesting ones were the lack of city/country identity in Franchise names and the ARU allowing 3 franchises to stack most of the talent while the 2 "expansion " teams are left to languish. Should be a no-brainer if even they can see it.

"Go the distance"
"They will come"
Especially if we start winning on a regular basis.
