Who 'nose' what the ARU will do.
But I'm beating the "drugs rife in AFL" drum already
(following police investigation) I say sack the Khunt and use the spare cash to top up Badger!
well he's obviously not supplying it to his team mates considering how relaxed they were against the ponys
although maybe it might explain Horwill's actions on the field
Queensland rugby are not having much luck at the moment! Sad to hear a bloke with talent and I'm sure has a nice nest egg seems to feel the need to get into drugs!!
is this why JOC decided to join the reds?
Great leadership shown by the vice captain - you can't tell me personnel in the Reds hadn't picked up on this before with all the medical tests etc!
Just for you GIGS
Q. Who was the last RL convert to be caught out on the Charlie Sheen, Kate Moss, whatever you want to call it??
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Wow. Disappointed to hear that. Would have to think he would be stood down until the criminal matter can be determined. A young bloke with everything and throws it away like this. sad. risk taking behaviours I guess
I think you're right Muddly. Wasn't he caught using rather than trafficking?
As for KHunt and Old, I think this is a shame. As lovely as it is ripping into Qld and Mungo converts, the taint of this will spread to the entire rugby union populace. The story alleges that the offense occurred between July and December, he must have been either talking contracts with the Reds or possibly even training with them at the time, so there's not much room for them to evade the inevitable backlash.
The ARU have been backed into a wall with this, their famously flexible hard line policy is sure to be tested in a case where there's an actual drugs charge against a player who a powerhouse union want to play, but has no Wallaby time served yet.
Rights say he should be sanctioned severely (Dismissal would be hard I think, however plenty of players have been suspended while the brouhaha dies down) and be given the thin ice letter......possibly removed if contracts allow, but hes not James O'Connor, playing for one of the teams from the wrong side of the tracks and I'm sure Jim Carmichael will be right in the ear of whoever he needs to be talking about how they need Hunt at Qld "for the good of Australian rugby" Possibly even throwing in the "If you take KHunt away from us you have to give us Inglis to replace him"
Let's just say I'll be watching with interest!
C'mon the
According to the radio this morning, the matter relates to when he was still at Gold Coast AFL team - which begs the question of whether ARU/QRU were aware of it when they signed him????
'God invented beer to prevent Props from taking over the world'
That'll be the first test. If they can't prove that he covered it up, it'll be hard to tear up the contract. I wonder if there's any part of the contract which talks about KHunt being aware of issues which may affect his employment. If the wording is slightly wrong they might have to wear it.
C'mon the
How can the Reds not have picked up on what he was doing FFS! He would've had pretty full on blood tests and Medicals before the contract was signed off - I will bet the Reds knew and tried to cover it up. Hence making him Vice Captain to try to coax him into being a good boy, and that would help sort him out. What an idiot! Just thrown it all away!
Val he is charged with SUPPLY Not taking. Ain't no blood test for that.
