While your Rugby club is busy planning for next year, there are some important changes affecting you that will happen nationally for the 2015 season.
Previously registration fees and insurance levies were incorporated within your club levy. Rugby is now moving to a funding model where every player nationally will be required to pay an individual registration fee and insurance levy directly. This is a similar system to what's already in place for other major sports in Australia.
It will be a simpler and fairer way to distribute costs across the game and ensure State and Territory Unions can continue to administer, service and develop Rugby at a local level.
To support this change, Rugby Link, our new national registration & competition management system, will be launched in January, and will provide an online registration and payment facility for player registration. In coming months, your club will be in contact directly with specific registration details.
