I had a look a few days ago looks like we have left the 18th century. Seems taverns can now serve beer with a meal after midday. IIRC.

It has been an option for some time (that's how NZ do it too), but very few do just because of the cost of staff etc.

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

Never been my favourite day as it is generally boring unless you have Fox sport or you head away with family and friends otherwise good chance to get organised and catch up on jobs before rugby season really sets in. A good chance for those in the hospitality industry to have a deserved day off. We need to stand up for these days.

And you can't ask them at the interview if they're pregnant, terminally ill, have so e weird religious affiliation which requires them to take every second day off with pay, thick as two short planks or lazy as a geriatric doorpost. When you give them a job and find they are one (or all) of the former, you can't sack them for it even if they're driving your business into the ground.
C'mon the![]()
