Gigsy, please tell me you are not a teacher at Kolbe College.
Or do my kids have to change schools?
Sorry, comment was directed at the article itself. The physical gains that were gained during that time he was 'using' and during his ban will still be evident today. I don't want to take anything away from his selection but i believe it is unfair that a player could get an unfair advantage over another player who is doing it by the book. Did anyone know him before he moved back to SOuth Africa? Apparently he was a player about 20kg smaller than what he was. The strength and speed gains that can be achieved with greater muscle mass is phenomenal. Was that achieved due to the steroid use or through pure hard work and FairPlay. You can be the judge!!

He has served his time now leave him alone! If everyone of you who has some form of conviction was not allowed back into society were would you be now! And I'm sure that half of you guys doing all the bleating have at least one speeding ticket and should never be allowed to drive a car again!
Now suck it up and give the guy a chance!
May the FORCE be with you!
And this is exactly what happened to Shane Warne and the Aussie cricket team when his "mom" gave him something she shouldn't!!! The sponsors didn't want to touch him or the team hey???
Bet you didn't even remember that happening to him!
I'm sure he has learnt from his mistake. Maybe the Force can use him to educate the kids at school. He can even become an ambassador to keep the sport clean.

Pisston, you must be taking the piss (or is that how you got your name?).
Are you seriously holding that disgraced cricketer up as a shining light for school kids after all the scandles and lewd behaviour over the years?
You are warped big time.
Your memory is very selective. Warne was dumped by his sponsors, received a ban, Cricket Australia and various commentators / former players distanced themselves from him and he's become a media target ever since for all the wrong reasons.
No thanks. You have been "warned".
Ralto, no proof, just what I can remember from years of watching cycling and athletics.
It used to be: first offense, bad luck mate, do your time and come back; second offense, well you're a bit of an idiot, have a long ban.
They're now becoming more like: first offense, idiot, have a ban; second offense, get out and don't come back.
Other sports (and memories) may vary
