WALLABIES winger Digby Ioane may be forced to play overseas after deciding to leave Queensland Reds at the end of the year.
Ioane has given the Reds notice that he will not be playing for them next season after a falling-out with the Super Rugby team's administration.
Along with several players, including captain James Horwill, Ioane has been in dispute with the Reds over a third-party payment.

Ahhh, the Tim Horan effect.
There are 3 types of people in this world, those that can count and those that can't
Those third party payments hey.
Wonder if it was all above board?
Oh wait - it's the reds of course it is. The only way it would be any more above board is if it was the tahs we were talking about
Where's Muddy when you need him?
Oh yeah, I 'm forgetting that the cone of silence was lowered all along the east coast when the princesses returned from their exile in Perth.![]()
Could we get digby back to the force with morahan on the other wing and move HB into the centres I have a good feeling about next season if this could come to pass
I think it'd be more like:
9. Mathewson
10. Norton-Knight
11. Ioane
12. Godwin
13. Rasolea
14. Cummins
15. Morahan
Now that Holmes is confirmed, yep, maybe. SNK would be an awesome utility sub, as would Morahan for that matter, and with Porter as sub for Mathewson and one of Stanley/Dellit as the other sub we'd have fairly settled backs for the first time in a while.
Is Mafi's departure actually confirmed?
If digby is off overseas it might make him rethink moving. A path to the wallabies just opened up.

I doubt Digby would be coming west, too many hurdles to jump. He'll be chasing the big money OS.
Be interesting to hear about the third party deals. There would be contracts organised by his management so everything should be in black and white & therefore enforceable.
You wouldn't think these third party deals were just a handshake and a wink.
