Westies Man, I am delighted that one of the conditions of the scholarship has been changed, apologies for upsetting you.
Joondalup Brothers have supplied 10 of the 40 players initially selected. Well done boys, your doing something right up there. They also supplied 5 under 16 state and 6 under 15 state players from memory. There are only 5 players from the intercity clubs...interesting stats
Together Strong, we play it hard. We'll make you earn every yard.
We'll never quit, lay down or die. So bring it on and watch us fly.

Have you got any coaches at Joondalup yet and more importantly any cash?
Go Neddies.
I personally wonder with Aranmore if it would be a hindrance to young players playing and training too much and getting 'sick' of the game rather than being a production line for future Western Force first XV players
I’ve spoken with Aranmore within the past two years, it’s not a requirement they play club for Wests, rather a natural convenience given the close proximity and what club the school coaches attend.
I wouldn’t have a problem with Aranmore asking my lad if he was available for Wests. I’d consider ease of travel between school, Club and home, coaching structure and resources that he’d receive.
If it was, “Thanks but no thanks, he’ll stay with his current club”, I know the Aranmore Teachers wouldn’t have a problem with his decision.
I guess the 'close proximity' thing doesn't apply now tho.

Joondalup's Academy has a couple of coaches; it’s a solid program and one that’s serving the players well. It covers core, unit and team skills along with S&C and nutrition. The players very happy with what they are learning and as such are developing very well. Yes there are a few kids that have made the state squad both this year and last that have accredited the academy for assisting them in their development and subsequent selections. The club and Jock along with the other academy coaches are to be applauded for the commitment to the players and for what’s being achieved, irrespective of some personal opinion. The academy is well supported by the club and sponsors.

Congratulations to the 30 players that have been selected into the U15 State side training squad.
The selection process was not easy and it took a lot of discussion to determine who would be in the 30 man squad.
The next and final cut will be made on 15th March when we will announce the 23 travelling and 4 non-travelling (who will train right up until we leave in case of any injuries.) We will have 2-3 practice games before we leave for Brisbane
