I was at the SFS on Saturday and thought there was a lot of gold around - much more than normal. But as always the crowd was pretty quiet - it's Aussie tradition, but disappointing after a couple of decades at the old Arms Park.
Great in the pubs on Friday night. Large Welsh contingent at the Fortune of War, and had a great bawl of the old favourites. I seemed to know the words to the Welsh songs better than the rest who had travelled on a tour from Wales !!!I even ended up leading the singing for some of the songs
haven't done that for a looooong time.
We even had the pleasure of going to the Opera House to watch Under Milk Wood (Dylan Thomas) before venturing to the FOW. Great show with Jack Thomson in the main role and a gorgeous lady who could not only act and sing but got her clothes off as well.
Now the long wait until the Bledisloe in August.
I was there, fantastic feel, once we actually got in the ground! It would be great to have a similar style of ground here! I think the fact that it was the third game, with the series already won, did make a difference to the crowd noise. I also think that Beale was very rusty and that made the crowd a bit nervous too. I thought the ref really took the life out of the game after the break, too much whistle and scrum resets!
How many from this Welsh side will make it back next year in the Lions side?
That did take a bit of pace from the second half. But I'd lay that blame at the feet of the players. Joubert, I thouhjt, was very clear & consistant. We are rarely treated to the spectacle of two teams willing to play the game.at such.pace as in the first 40. More's the pity.

yep, spot on about the ref. A pity 'cos it might otherwise have been a great running game. As it was, a close game is better than 60 nil
Glad to see that Dingo is now commenting on how Pocock was being taken out of the game off the ball. I said so at the time but the guys around me didn't think so. But then they were from Sydney so what would they know.![]()
Surely Pocock as Captain should have raised it with the ref at some point during the game. Otherwise not much point Deans whinging about it now.
Laugh and the world laughs with you.......
......cry and you'll weaken your beer
Poey would have been in a no win situation if he complained to the ref. If it were another player on his team, he'd do it and get ref's full attention, but to tell the ref " Hey mate I am being taken out off the ball" just has different ring about it, if you know what I mean.
Poey would also never want to indicate to anyone that he's so good to warrant special attention from his opponents.
he could talk in the Royal Plural though:
"We are being held illegally etc"
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
It happens every Force game too.
Three nil victory against the 6 nations champs. Pretty happy with that.
Berrick Barnes was awesome in the series as was Bam. Boks and ABs will be nervous around the breakdowns.
Beale is extremely rusty but should be back to his best by the time the Rugby Championship is here. We'll also have O'Connor back on the wing...hopefully AAC into outside centre to push out Horne or McCabe...injuries permitting.
coz Stone Cold says so
I think AAC to 13 for Horne and O'Connor to the wing should be the move. A bit more potency in attack and defence is still pretty solid. Barnes has earnt the 10 jersey for the next test. Watched the highlights of some of the world cup games again the other day and you can't not have O'connor there. Quade could be a good impact player off the bench
