I have a dream…………
It may take me a while to explain it, so just work with me if you could for a moment while I spell it out.
Picture if you will the mid 90’s in Chicago USA. Michael Jordan is quite possibly the most recognized sportsman on the planet. His popularity is huge. He could do no wrong. The team that he played for the Chicago Bulls – were pretty damn good (Yes I know its basketball, please just give me a chance, we will be back to the Rugby shortly. Trust Me).
Anyhoo, where was I, aah yes the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s had this big production of how they introduced their team to their fans. Their home court would be sold out. The lights would go off and this very cool synthesizer music would start playing and building up, then the center circle would be lit up by a laser beam in the logo of the Chicago Bulls. Got it? Everyone with me so far? Good!
OK back to 2007 at Subiaco Oval. The opposition runs out on the ground, and then the lights go out. First one, then another and another until the whole ground is lit by the crowd holding their own “Force Blue colored Light Sabers”. The ground announcer introduces the team one by one and the stereo is pumping and the crowd is going off.
If you think an All Blacks team gets pumped up by doing the Haka just before kickoff. Our opposition will drown in a sea of blue.
These Light Sabers are available to purchase for less then $15 each. I have seen them on eBay for that. The coloring is perfect for us. If just 30 TheWholeForce members did it at the first game (buy the Light Sabers, not the whole lights out and the introductions etc, we need some official help for that one) 30 people is the start of a craze that will take Perth by storm. If 80%+ can turn Subiaco Blue with their Force Jerseys, this one is a piece of cake.
For those that are interested, Travelling_Gerry and I are currently in negotiations for a bulk order of Force Blue Light Sabers, and will have more information to you in the coming days/weeks.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Just when the psychiatric ward was beginning to empty in walked Luke Skywalker with his band of saber (sic) wielding knights....
You two have been reading too many Farside cartoons.
I can just imagine a mild mannered middle aged real estate executive/ wine merchant/accountant leaving the office to go to the game waving his toy glow sword defiantly at the forces of the dark side.
Why don't we just go naked with a lit candle rammed up our backsides- we could let rip whenever the Force scored- fantastic blue light display at no extra cost and we'd look no less ridiculous.
Hang on, maybe this is an Eastern States plot engineered by that well known Waratahs supporter Exile to have us all certified...
Your in trouble FS!![]()
hide it down the front of your jeans fulvio....no one will notice...![]()
There'd be no room...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Tif can shove down a 2 litre bladder of a cask of nasty bombo for special occasions at Subi, a legend!!

Let me get this straight. Calling you certifiable (in the TWF sense of the word only of course) is not an insult, but calling you an Eastern Stater and a Tah's supporter is. I see.
Exile, I offer my abject apology for casting such slurs on your birthright and allegiance. I publicly acknowledge I have been proven wrong and promise not to be so again.![]()
