Crusaders were ruthless... very impressive, cutting a team like the Stormers out of the match wow... Reds will need all the rugby gods on side to halt the Crusader juggernaut… while Reds were impressive, the Crusaders are at their zenith. Just look at the players on the bench, amazing depth.
Perhaps all the Reds can hope for is the Crusaders have played their final last night and suncorp will be one air bridge too far… but I don’t think so… its not in the New Zealander psyche not to find the strength when so much civil pride is on line for the people of Christchurch. Either way, whoever wins, both are very worthy and had great seasons.
Two things Muddy -
1. The Reds have plenty of civic pride to play for too. Remember the small matter of the massive floods and cyclones a few months back???
2. The Reds have consistently beaten top 4 sides for 2 years in a row. Why would they go into a final hoping that the rugby gods are on their side? They have built their own momentum through bloody hard work, guts and skill.
Comments like yours (and there are similar ones all over the internet) will serve to fire the Reds up. All year, people have been saying that the Reds are pretenders, not worthy, lucky etc. This just serves to motivate the boys all that much more.
I'm not saying the Reds are favourites, but I think it is even money.

Sounds like it's the battle of the natural disasters.
Flash back to the start of the season and the flooding of SunCorp stadium, such a stark contrast to Saturday night and the coming final. Well done to the Reds and good luck, I hope you smash them.
tic... I hope your right and the Reds get fired up... its about time another Australian province won the super championship... and I take your point about the QLD floods however for the people of Christchurch it still continues and is reoccurring.
The Reds have won matches on flare and self-belief; the Crusaders win on power and focussed talent. believe me I’ll be cheering the Reds on Saturday night… So get firer up Reds its your time to grab history… don't let tic down boys...![]()

Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
there might be something in that thought Burgs... It worked for the Brumbies:
The Canberra bushfires of 2003 caused severe damage to the outskirts of Canberra, the Australian capital city. Almost 70% of the Australian Capital Territory’s pasture, forests (pine plantations) and nature parks were severely damaged, and most of the renowned Mount Stromlo Observatory was destroyed. After burning for a week around the edges of the ACT, the fires entered the suburbs of Canberra on 18 January 2003. Over the next ten hours, four people died and more than 500 homes were destroyed or severely damaged, requiring a significant relief and reconstruction effort.
Coach David Nucifora and newly-appointed Captain Stirling Mortlock led a Brumbies team containing several ‘unknowns’ to finish six points clear on top of the 2004 Super 12 table, unearthing a new breed of Super 12 and Wallabies stars along the way. The Brumbies hosted the Crusaders in the 2004 Super 12 Final, winning the championship in emphatic style 47-38 in front of a record crowd of 28,753 at Canberra Stadium.
Sound similar, a "Brumbies team containing several ‘unknowns’ to finish six points clear on top of the 2004 Super 12 table, unearthing a new breed of Super 12 and Wallabies stars along the way." However the Reds will have alot more than 28,000 supporters at suncorp.

Heart says Queensland, but then you look at the Crusaders lineup...
If Cooper is on fire, it will be a close, close game. Crusaders by 3.
Good news Samo is good to play...
Who is the ref?
