So he wanted to :

Create a rugby career (failed with Rebels)
Enjoys body boarding (failed in Melbourne, unless you want to travel a distance)
Wanted money (Melbourne is alot more expensive to live than Perth)
Closer to family (Melbourne or Perth still a distance away from QLD)
Be closer to friends (Melbourne = 1 / QLD = 2 / WA = 1)
Wanted to go somewhere that has a #10 and international backs (Melbourne doesn't Cipriani either drunk or going back to Europe and no Internationals except for Beale)

Cant think yet on why or how the Rabbles became a good option
