Emirates Western Force hooker Ben Whittaker has been cleared of serious injury after being forced from the field in the first half of the club’s win against the Bulls in Perth on Saturday night.
Whittaker was replaced after 21 minutes holding his left shoulder and was in a sling following the game however scans have revealed only minor damage to his AC Joint and he is expected to be sidelined between a week and 10 days.
It is a great result for the in-form front rower who has been a mainstay of the side since breaking into the match day 22 in round six last season. He recently re-signed with the Emirates Western Force for a further two seasons and has shared the throwing duties with fellow up and comer Nathan Charles.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.

We need them all fit to get as much game time as possible

That's a relief, we certainly need our two young gun Hookers.
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Wow, that is a real result! When it was the ref that heard it go "pop" and he stops play to call the medics over, you'd expect it to end much worse.
I remember a ref saying that about Scott Staniforth's leg a few years ago at Subi and he was back next game.
Does this mean Siliva Siliva on the bench against the Crusaders? Big ask for a young lad, but what an opportunity!
Or would you prefer Pek as an emergency 2nd hooker?
Apparently Siliva over Pek
