His own words allude to other issues bubbling away below the surface - not that these are to be used as excuses - let's hope he deals with those as well.
I for one am glad he has come out and said what he did - what alternative does he have? At least it displays a sense of conviction, and his mindset at this time.
Abstinence is far more difficult (and displays far more commitment) than controlled drinking. I only hope he came to the decision himself rather than it having been imposed on him.
