Expect to see the 12 and 13 from the Reds feature next year if they have a big super 15. I'm all for picking combinations. A.Faingaa can tackle and his straight running and acceleration creates opportunities for Cooper.

QC had a shocker against the poms but he wasn't R.Crusoe. Backs will have quiet games when the pack gets belted. Our backrow was owned and our tight five was transparent.

We have so many great options in the backs but I think QC is our most creative 10. I would love to see a full stregth backline. Ioane is just a sensation. His injury troubles are frustrating

If Dingo Deans can limit the weakness of Quades defence by throwing a more adept inside centre like Berrick Barnes on then he will, even with Quades defensive weaknesses its going to take a hell of a lot to drop him, the Wallaby backline is now modelled on his style of play, which no other Australian 5/8 comes even close to replicating.

It is possible to win a world cup without Cooper - he's not the only guy with a fancy side step in the team. But he is currently, the weakest link. He should get a harsh wake-up call.

When Cooper was suspended our attack with giteau and barnes at the helm was pretty flat and predictable during tri nations.

    So true
QC is the man. Lets teach him to tackle. messrs Phil Blake isn't that man. Dead set, what a farce. No wonder we are the whipping boys of world rugby.

1 test in the last 11 against the allblacks doesn't mean anything has improved, especially after England beat us in every facet of the game and Munster belted us off the park.

I just had a thought. Has anybody thought of trying
    9 genia
    10 barnes
    11 Mitchell
    12 Ashley -Cooper
    13 Cooper
    14 turner

All I'm thinking is, there's some size and weight to that sort of a back line, and gnia barnes and Cooper have the passing skills to get it wide in one. Cooper won't be anywhere near as exposed in defense sitting between Ashley-Cooper and Mitchell (who've thought 12 months ago we would be thinking of HIM as a good tackler?) and there's still the fancy stepper thing to use.

I don't know whether it's a really serious suggestion, but it does have some merit

Hmmmmmm. Wouldn't that be putting our most suss defender into the hardest position to defend?
