I've been a bit out of the loop lately, having been away for a while, but I've been keeping my ears and eyes open, and have been taking in the opinions of the experts and aficionados. I therefore feel confident in voicing an opinion again, so here goes.
Wanneroo v Rockingham
Wanneroo have turned everything around. They are no longer in turmoil. The cheque book has come out again, with a couple of extra zeros added. The Coaches have buried their differences and are all singing from Elwee's songbook. They are back on track with an easy amble to the finals and will win all remaining games simply by turning up.
University v Perth
Perth have ceased their suffering, which was not very long anyway, and are about to bask in the brilliant sunshine which now awaits them at the end of the tunnel they were never in. They will smash University, who lost last week by a devastating margin in a very poor display against Cottesloe, and will never recover in time to match a resurgent, invigorated and switched on Perth outfit which has a point to prove.
Nedlands v Cottesloe
Both clubs are fabulous, with great leadership, camaraderie and team spirit, and it is inconceivable that either will lose. Much as I hate to sit on the fence, I can only come to the conclusion that it will be a draw, unless Ecky is selected as the referee, in which case Nedlands will be disadvantaged by finishing the game with six players on the sideline, and this may just leave the door ajar for Cott to sneak home.
West Subiaco v Associates
After their performance over the last two weeks, Wests are a shoe in to win this game by a huge margin. Soaks were, quite frankly, absolute crap against Palmyra two weeks ago, and it was only the even greater crappiness of Palmyra that allowed them to scape through with the points. The Gallic superiority and flair now displayed by Wests home grown, raised through the ranks, squadron of Frenchmen will see them humiliate Associates.
Kalamunda v Palmyra
The battle of the South Seas will see Palmyra pounded into submission by waves of attack from the more aggressive, better led, and strongly united Kala unit, who have nicely timed their run to the finals and are looking more and more like finalists with every week that passes. The Kala boys have benefited from the body sculpting and use of (legal) nutritional supplements which have been an essential part of their training program this year and will have no problem accounting for the insipid Paly boys.
I resemble those remarks, Mr Sammut.
I'll have you know I have sent more Cott players to the bin than Neds players, so you should immediately reconsider your tip there.
I am unable to confirm nor deny that I have not been appointed to that game.
Thank you
Apart from that, a most amusing precis FS.![]()

Ecky, amusing? Amusing!
I'll have you know I'm in deadly ernest.
(To say I'm being frank might be confusing to some.)
BrokenDown, are you propositioning me?
Fulvio...one glaring omission ...
Neddies Ladies Day is on at the foreshore - theme is Sex and the City, huge marquee, Abba tribute band, Magnum as M.C. We are hoping Brokendown gunfighter will keep his weapon holstered.
Rumour has it 250 girls will sing "we are woman" as soon as the boys run onto the field???? could be an interesting start to a game of rugby and may set all sorts of precedents....
The intent was to try and put Cott off their game....Do you think it will have any effect?
No way, Hansie.
I've seen some of the Nedlands' women.
Half the Cott backline will join in won't they?
C'mon the![]()
