I think Joe may have started the end of his international career.
A couple of decent gain lines but nothing spectacular that he so needs.
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
This game yesterday will make Deans start to conside Macallum serously as a bench player they will need a hard nut to break the AB's. The wallabies will get done big time if this is how the AB's are playing
Everybody over here said the same when Gear didn't get in and Joe did. Henry and co explained it as Joe being a thinking part of the back three and that although Gear is fast, strong and explosive he still couldn't add the team factor. I'm inclined to agree. Joe did a lot of good work off the ball. Kahui is out this week, Cowan is iffy.
I thought the ABs had their best display for at least a couple of years but I doubt the Bok will be ambushed like that again this week.
Also agree, think Roko put in a strong and credible performance to get a starting call up again. Seems to be lacking on pace..age and/or injury..but provided good support play, a few decent runs and no cock-ups to mind.
Edit: Looks like he's battling with a hamstring strain.

was injured apparently... he's been sidelined for the next game with Ranger coming back into the starting lineup..
Bakkies is an idiot. A smarter player would have rested his hand on the back of Cowan's head to help get up off the ground, whilst looking away and exerting sufficient downward pressure to allow Cowan to taste the grass roots of Eden Park. Cowan - as he has done before - would get up and have a go and maybe got 10 minutes. At that point in the game - result would have been different.
I say drop Bakkies for someone with brains in their head.....
well technically he has been dropped..
I mean permanently....
