STUDENTS from Karrinyup Primary School tackled a few different activities during their annual lap-a-thon last week.
About 400 youngsters spent an hour walking up to 25 laps in the P&C committee fundraiser.
As a way of breaking up all the laps, students took some time out for several fun activities hosted by Western Force player Andre Pretorius.
“Crash tackling into bags, catching rugby balls sent into the sky by a bowling machine and passing rugby balls through a target – it was great fun had by all,” deputy principal Steve Routledge said.
“It all fits in well with the school’s efforts in promoting healthy lifestyles.”
Players from the rugby team have visited the school for the past three years and Pretorius said it was always terrific to see enthusiastic youngsters embracing a healthy lifestyle.
