But does anyone here think that Walsh did a really great job? I watched some of the first half (then inexplicably lost my concentration ... ) and I had a harder time than usual understanding some of his calls.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.

It must be hard to ref a soporific insomnia-cure like Walsh was forced to endure.
It's a bloody miracle he didn't take his teddy bear and slippers out in the second half.
Change the Ref, Brums won't be turning up anyway......It'll say more to the Wallabies selectors if the whingeing pricks get their way and STILL suck ass

I don't think he was great but I have seen worse performances go unremarked.
I thought he handled the players quite well and is one of the better Refs in that aspect.

I thought that was one of the easier tips this week. The Brumbies are a talented bunch of individuals who have been playing like exactly that rather than as a team. But they talked themselves into a corner and examination of who might make the Wallabies squad has started to get serious, including suggestions that there may need to be a change of leadership. So they were at last united by something (some might even say the only thing) that actually motivates a number of those players - self-interest. Suddenly they seemed interested in playing and it was enough when the Reds also had some big mental hurdles to clear.
