Someone needs to pay for the development of junior in Australia

The ARU are doing that in their inequitable distribution of funds to Super 14 unions

We are happy for Queensland Tic and TOCC and for most people on here they would be a second favourite team. But the Force are far and away the favourites. And there are two very realistic directions from here:
A) Quade Cooper doesn't sign with the Force. We recruit a marquee 10 who gets injured within the first 3 rounds of the S15 and come in at 11th place. The Reds continue their rise and make the semi-finals. A host of Force players recruited from Queensland return home to have a chance to play in finals. The next year is even worse.
B) The Force recruit Cooper. They return to finals contention. Force fans happy. Force players happy. We don't lose the likes of JO'C and David Pocock. The Reds play Lucas, Walsh or Lance at 10 and they are serviceable.
We appreciate that on a national level recruiting Cooper would have lots of bad ramifications and if a better option was given we'd take it (ie if you convinced Lucas to join us instead so that we can have at least someone at 10). I don't think Cooper'll come here- the pressure out of the East is so intense that he will crack and re-sign with the Reds. I wouldn't say "I don't want the dirty thief" either. I want him here but not under all this hassle. Now figure the reverse: What will the Eastern states media say when he rejects the Force offer and stays in Queensland? Believe me it will be a lot more savage than any negative views of Cooper on here.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
well i think i have said it before, i dont want him here, mainly cause he's doing well for the reds and i like seeing them get up, and i dont want someone who is just coming over for a couple o years. I realise there isn't much else out there for us, but i'd rather cooper stays were he is.
also he's a thief![]()
Talk of Forces third party signing of Cooper does indeed dismay as it is nothing but talk. This is a Greg Growden article, folks, so it's nothing but conjecture. Besides I can't see any team wanting to offer him a contract before his court case is settled
You can't buy the sort of passion which was on display tonight by the Reds

congrats to the Reds, that was a fab game. i only caught the second half but that was exciting enough! cooper still does that weird arm thing when he kicks. but that team was fired up. bulls didnt want it/thought they could do it easily & didnt prepare
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
? sorry. but thats what i drew from the game. bulls are top notch but tonight they werent at their best. the reds were hell good, fired up, got penalties going their way and came out to win and thats what they got. whats insulting about that?
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
well im sorry i said anything to praise the reds in the first place.
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
It's the professional age
It is not the fault of the Force if Cooper were to come west. They are offering a quality player a contract in a position that they are lacking in.
The main objective of all the Super 14 sides is to win the Super 14 championship and they will look to put the best squad capable of fulfilling that objective
@ Force Addict - Damned by faint praise. Watch the first half - it will help you to understand what I am saying.![]()
Wasn't aware that I was ever a "precious ass".(BTW, are you American??)
My response was completely logical, rebutting the notion that the Reds played well BUT the Bulls didn't - thereby devaluing the win (hence damning by faint praise).
It is quite transparent.
Anyways, I really am not that fussed, I'll leave it at that.
