Force got beaten by a better team. The ref didnt make a difference. Hell, the ref could have been biased the Force way and the Blues still would have won.
But a good rant is very therapeutical.
We lost because they played better than us. Forget about the ref- he may have influenced the margin but you can't blame him for the loss.
The only one thing that he did that really pissed me off what the penalty he gave against us at the scrum when he mistimed the call on the touch and the scrum collapsed. He screwed up and it should've been reset.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
was that the first one of Dunning's, because when I saw it on replay the Blues prop hadn't moved at all, when Dunning went, there was nothing there, and since he was so comprehensively beaten to the hit the blues just went backward, Dunning fell over because he ran out of height and then got penalised for going straight down
I was annoyed at that one. It was the same scrum where Dunning touched early (as he REFUSES to stop doing) and the ref put the whistle to his mouth (Seemingly itching to penalise the guy who had walked on to the pitch 15 seconds before)
C'mon the
Yeah lets blame the Referee. It's just easier that way
I blame the Ref for Force contniuosly dropping the ball
I blame the Ref for the Force missing tackles

we played crap
end of story
as long as we beat the crusaders!
The ref did a better job than we did tonight
I dont blame the ref.
Frustrations
- Oyoungs fluffing about at times. If sheehan isnt back then turner deserves a start.
- midfield defense. Frustrating watching the blues bounce off our tackles. At times we just kicked the ball away and allowed the blues backs to counter attack from deep with ball in hand.....not a good idea. They even counter attacked under pressure inside their own 22.
- predictable attack. how bout bending the defensive line now and then, straightening up or the odd short ball and reversing the direction. So many times in open play the runners/receivers were all running the same angle. way too easy to defend. We even kicked the ball away even without much pressure as opposed to the blues and even the reds and bulls tonight.
Forces Best imo was JOC
For next week im hoping spannners and Sheehan are back but would like to see the team like the following. I think we missed Peks defense and work rate off the ball tonight. Not sure if putting Sheps under pressure at fullback is wise but we need JOC footwark and ballskills inside. Spanners at 13 cos amongst our squad his skills and abilities suit the role more then anybody else.......if we werent so short on wingers id give cullet a run now and then at outside centre.

for the Dunning knockers he officially was pulled due to injury.
according to the RugbyWA press release:
69th min: Henderson replaces Dunning (ankle injury).
although its possible it was staged in order for him to come off.
I didn't think the ref was up to much, but he wasn't nearly as shocking as the force. I was upset by all of them, yes, but I thought Sharpie was a huge let down. Maybe his fabulous season so far has made me raise the bar exceptionally high, but I thought he had a considerably rough game.
Turner again brought a nice little attacking spark. Bart shouldn't have made it through the first half without being subbed.
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
