I am simply saying that if we can obtain a quality person ASAP, this will help give the ship direction. Further, if that quality person is able to start next season, all the better. If we are able to secure a good coach but he is not able st start till season 2012, then at least whoever we recruit knows who will be at the helm, taking over the reins.
I agree, but that is a couple of pretty huge ifs given the timeframe. Even more so if you look at it from the viewpoint of some promising young coach - there will be much movement post-RWC, as there always is. Why commit now to the Force, when in a years time there may be all manner of other clubs and even countries in the market for a coach?
I have no doubt RugbyWA would be looking for certainty as soon as possible, but as a supporter I'd sooner they do the job properly rather than make any rushed and potentially rash decisions. Even more so if I was a player looking to commit my future.
