OK, my 2c
Haig is a utility back who we've been able to call on in times of trouble for the entirety of our history.....Truth be told, he wouldn't be first pick in any position of the backline for my team, he also has a bit of an attitude problem (fighting with Henners at the left bank, a disgraceful reaction to a dropped ball over the tryline last year)
That being said, when the injury list is this long, you have to play these kinds of players. I would def put Haig on the bench regardless. Maybe, given that the start hasn't really worked for him so far, possibly a bench behind one of the young, speedy wingers would be a good idea, so you could hook the kid if he gets into trouble, but you might just unearth something far better than Haig.
Don't expect to find a highlight reel Ex, the only one you'll find is the disallowed try against the 'Saders!
