Oh, I don't know Muddie, the ARU has been more than willing to give dispensation or overlook stuff in the past....like allowing the Tahs to wade into third party contracts or allow Giteau to sign a new contract with third party agreements already in place.

Maybe our tactical mistake was to actually play by the rules and ask, but unlike others we'd probably be fined...

Speaking of special dispensation... Such as that allowed to the Brumbies last year when they were chasing Larkham??? The only reason that fell through was they couldn't organise an agreement with the Japanese club in time!

Certainly smacks of the irrelevant team in the West being given short shift by the rugby power brokers... Although I'm not sure how it serves them? Perhaps they didn't want to show they were willing to bend the rules when they have Melbourne asking for special dispensation in regards to approaching and signing players.

BELOVIT: I am not sure who these young guns are that you speak of? We are already down to the last of our stocks of backs and we haven't even got to week 2. If you know of some young hidden stars then please share their names!

They didn't go to the ARU to whine about it. They just talked to the Japanese club then stopped... Left it at that... and didn't waste anymore time...
