Was at the South African World Cup - disappointed with the absence of the theme tune Bok Bok Bok wasn't used in the film - went to Hilbrow after - the atmosphere was fantastic - it did unite the South Africans - fantastic to give people hope and pride in their country and they needed it - they seem to need it more now.
There were at least 3 SAA planes over Newlands that day and it was carefully coordinated into the best floor show I've ever seen before or since - on a par with the Olympics opening ceremony.
Not one mention of the food poisoning....
Also remember going into the pub shown in Capetown and being "helped" out afterwards.....
Clint did well with the dramatisation - obviously fascinated by scrums - Andrew Mertons comments on the actor chosen might be a bit rich - not a bad film dying to get the opinion of a non rugby person.
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby

I haven't seen it but it is my understanding that it isn't a Rugby movie, it is a movie of nation building, politics and hope that has Rugby as the backdrop.
That there is Rugby at all is a bonus, not the primary reason for watching.
"Bloody oath we did!"
