Obviously a better performance. The territorial kicking was a hell of a lot better - amazing what happens when the ball goes into space and into touch rather than down the throat of the full-back. Started to drift in the first part of the second half (Cooper seemed to be kicking more?), but at least there was some chasing. And how much more useful is the toe-through when no-one is back and the chaser is in space, rather than when the ball is covered and all the outside men are man-marked!?
Can't say I was that impressed by the second try, simply because no backline move should ever go prop, prop, winger, lock. Maybe we should look at getting our forwards perms and combs for their socks (although on the upside I guess they can't whinge about the scrum if they are the ones knocking on). That last try was a thing of beauty though...so nice to see accurate long passes just completely stuffing the sliding defence.
Will Genia was MOM for mine. Giteau finally had a positive influence on the game but I thought his best plays were from second receiver. I just hope that will be made permanent when Barnes is available. I read somewhere that the Powder Blues have been requested to play him at 10 next season. A good move.
It's been a tough year but it's only 2009 and the average age of the squad must only be about 24. All the people who have been delighting in their downfalls may yet be crying in their beers come 23rd October 2011.

Will Genia just did the job he hadto do... And took some good high balls... Giteau had a hand in 3 tries and kicked well... MOM Gits for sure...

With the kind of forward dominance Australia had a monkey could have had his hand in three tries. Now you have a good person to use your icon with Muddy.
