Anyone notice the Super 14 team listed for Ryan? Not mentioned on the RugbyWA pages, but another source had him listed for as a Force member
Would look like Ryan is back in business, he is listed on the new update profiles and no mention of Academy, well done
With Pek the only other potential Hooker, at this stage at least, he should be in for some serious match time too.

Maybe not having an experienced hooker is good news as it gives some local boys a shot to prove themselves rather than importing players. Someday we might have a team that is mostly players from W.A
Was assuming he would start James, can't see Pek playing 13+ matches off the bench as reserve Hooker if there is an experienced one there.

cant understand why they gave Luke Holmes the heave ho,& not replace him
Apparently Tyrrell has been training his ass off and is shaping up very well. Good luck to the lad.
I can think of two possible reasons:
1) Holmes broke some club rule (although nothing's been mentioned).
2) The coaches think Tyrell and Whittaker are better than Holmes.
Whittaker did well in the last couple of games (albeit as a fresh hooker against tired front rows). I don't recall seeing Tyrell - has he got much game time for the Force?
Is a bit odd isn't it. I got the feeling that Mitch held him partly responsible for the Hurricanes loss (he was replaced by Whittaker from that point on and I recall some talk of the loss being the 'reserves' fault). He seemed like a nice guy and he had been in the Force set up for a good few years but he's no TPN with those bone-crunching tackles and he doesn't seem scrummage that well so I guess they figured time would be better spent developing the other two.
Tyrell hasn't played for the Force yet. He's hoping to next year and tally up another local cap. I think if he and Justin Turner get a game that'll be up to 5. Even if he isn't quite as good as Holmes for other local players seeing that they can make it into the Force from the local comp will be a good incentive to keep at it.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
3. He was homesick...oh, hang on, he isn't a Queensland Back...

i heard that he was good, but wasn't developing, even after the number of games he reserved for, so it was time to move on for the force.
