Won by Cottesloe over a determined Palymyra
It was a bit of a blowout in the end. Didn't look at the scoreboard before I left but it was something like 29 - 6.
Soaks won the reserve grade grand final. 24 -20 I think it was.
Brownie scored for Cott as well.

Paly lads caught whatever the Wallabies had in the first half - so much turnover, but their defence held up. 2nd half was a little better, but all that defensive work in the 1st took it out of them. Cott were reasonably consistent for most of the game and it did them well.
I enjoyed it much more than that Wallabies game last night.
Ground service was obsolutely atrocious. Gave up on buying a beer
Congrats to Cottesloe on a solid win.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Dissapointing crowd numbers as well.
Nothing like last year out at Rugby WA. Weather maybe, yeah I suppose but I long for the day when MES is a packed house for our grade rugby comp.
It is nice but after all these years to say rugby in WA is on the way forward.
I wanted Paly to win, I actually thought that the run of the ball and decisions were against them today but well done to Cot.
One thing I would like an answer to is that cots first try in the second half looked to be finished off with a forward pass. The linesman had his flag out too but when he talked to the ref the ref still ruled it to be a try. I'm sure there is a reason for this but would like to know what it was.
Just happy to be here
I was wondering about that one also... more than a couple moments where I'd have liked to have seen a replay. One thing I would like an answer to is that cots first try in the second half looked to be finished off with a forward pass. WAFL grand final was on today too. I suspect weather was more likely though.

I was also a bit P*ssed off with the booing and jeering that Brownie was getting.
Great bloke and that shi* shouldn't happen.
Congrats to the Cottesloe crew...
Well, here's the thing; I feel I can assist you with this one 'cos it was my call:
Defending player got his arms around the attacking player and jolted the ball from his hands, so he didn't dot the ball down. It spilled loose and another defender touched it down = 22 restart.

The "linesman", or Assistant Referee (or touch judge) as we like to call them, was reporting some foul play by a Paly player against a Cott player a bit further upfield. As Cott scored, advantage taken, no further action required.
I want to add further to this I was completley embarrassed to be sitting in WA at a local game when I heard the booing and jeering he was getting.
I have no interest in either of yesterdays teams and just wanted to watch the grand final of a tournament that is very dear to me.
I forgot the brown dog was playing and was thrilled to see him run out for Cott. That pass he threw to the left to put the Cott guy over the line was absolute QUALITY!!!!!
He was getting it from the Cott fans more. I didn't hear any Paly fans giving it to him. Plus there's a difference from good hearted rivalry than calling out "Brownie your a F****** W*****".
If your going to give sh** then give it to wingers who tie their shirts in a bow. At least the boy had the skills to back himself, decent runner. Number 11 for Paly also had the goods.
