I was under the impression that modifications had to be made to the MES ground to allow us to play Super 14 games there. Such as expanding the playing field run off areas and new lighting. If this is the case then that is going to chew up a fair amount of capital. Is this correct and if so, where is the money coming from if MES is not going to get the expansion money from the government?
Just happy to be here
I remember something about the ground not being long enough to have International spec In Goal area.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
pfffft have you seen the in goal areas at Canberra Stadium
wasnt the 73mil plan from the town of vincent to include all that? the power supply to the stadium was going to be upgraded for new and bigger lights. as well as the extra power consumption from more spectators using the facilities and the bigger corporate boxes? as well as the permernant screen that was going to be put in
All outlined in detail here
one shower cubicle per 15 players or two Props lol
On the radio this arvo they had Kevin Rudd. He was over here discussing infratructure funding...so using my journalistic license I'm going to say that means that he was over here talking about how much he will contribute to a rectangular stadium. Yep thats right he is funding the upgrade/re-build/whole new stadium.
I dont have any quotes or any factual evidence of that but he was in WA so thats enough to run with.
