Gigs20 asked the optican about donating my eyes - there're knackered - and he said they are healthy enough to give someone sight again - and they'd take em gladly because to many people don't even think it's worth the bother - then he showed me a photo of a transplanted eye. One of those moments.
You can decide what you wish to give if you have strong feelings on the from ... most important bit is to tell your family - if they don't know the nurses are often afraid to ask..
61 years between Grand Slams Was the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Going with family experience I think Gigs' "problem" would be the big C TQ1, unless things are changing, once you have been down that road you are on the medical parts scrap heap, no blood, nothing.

red cross wont take my blood!!! The stuff your not allowed to do in months preceding giving will exclude me for a while.

Good on ya Jess
I can't donate blood.....not enough blood in my alcohol stream
I am registered on the ABMDR (Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry) though
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
There is a list of things you can opt in/out of donating when you register as an organ donor.
When you register you can select it all but when it comes time to transplanting them, that's when your medical history will come into account and they start deciding whether your organs are acceptable or not.
I'm in for everything, if they'll accept it and I recommend it, I'm not going to need those things when I'm not here so someone else should be able to, plus if they are not acceptable then students may be able to learn from them.
yeah. after i am gone you can take whatever you want from me.
i dont need my organs anymore. and if they can help someone enrich their quality of life i'm all for it
I'm not donating my organs unless i'm really really dead not just brain dead my nana is a nurse and she knows all about it! Lol i figure if i donate blood i'm not being completely selfish! At least thats what i think. And you help more people can make about 188 more donations based on 4 a year... Each one helps 3 people so that beats a few organs! :p
