There has been plenty of talk about player movements, drafts, overseas players and Coaching tenure.
However, in my opinion, this is all distracting from what I consider to be the major story of the week (season) and the potential root of all problems at the Force:
Business syndicate claims Giteau did not trust Force

...RugbyWA chairman Geoff Stooke was not surprised by Giteau's decision to leave - but he is not clear on the reasons.
In a confidential email to board members of RugbyWA - the governing body of the Western Force - obtained by The Sunday Times, Stooke admitted that there were deficiencies in the organisation...
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???
A "confidential" email that only went to Board Members is leaked to the Media???
Is there an inquiry into this???
Whoever leaked that document should be witch-hunted and given the arse, it is disgraceful.
I can understand, though still not condone, leaks from Staff or players, the more ears that are told the more twitching mouths there are, but to have a Board that cannot even be trusted with the security of their Chairman's correspondence intolerable.
I have hinted publicly on TWF and pointed privately to some key TWF crew towards the RWA Board for some months now, but to me, this confirms my deepest concerns.
The Western Force is being managed by a community group Board that is not up to the task of Directing a Professional Sporting Team.
Looking through the list of Directors, these are all quality individuals and highly respected in their own fields however, they do not collectively or even individually have the skill set to manage this team and need to face a major overhaul.
Stooke needs to show iron leadership in this issue by weeding out those who are responsible for this and other breaches or fall on his sword and allow Professional Sporting Industry people to take charge.
If our roots are rotten, what hope for our branches and fruit...

Can't remember if we've talked about this before, Burgs.
I've had involvement with the board of another community focused association in recent months and seeing how an old and new board act, this led me to have some concerns about whether the RugbyWA board are indeed doing their jobs right...
Is there a link to this article somewhere?
Gerry posted it here - http://twf.com.au/showthread.php?t=20435
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to Giteau."
Culture is fostered from the top - is Stooke one of the problems?

Cloaked loyalty in the boardroom...... bad news always tests the fabric of the members of an organisation... Giteau gives his answers below...
http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,...002381,00.html
Giteau was impressed enough with the Brumbies rugby set-up, however, after talking with Mortlock and others in recent weeks.
Asked what the main selling point was, Giteau said: "The professionalism of the joint."
there's always a possibility that it was a deliberate leak.
nothing said in the article from Geoff was damaging in any way that I could see.
That's great mudguts, but this is one thread that isn't going to turn into "yay for the return of Gits, yay for the Brumbies", there are plenty of others for that and this is far more important to a Force supporters site.
It is not a test of the fabric of the members, it is a test of the integrity of our Board, period.

lighten up Burgs...Giteau was central to all this splitting open and his quote stands as yes the board and others need to improve professionally... The board if its the same as the guys who were there during O'Meara firepower era should start to change over...
But are we allowed to say that or is that disloyal...?
I'm sorry, yes you are right again of course, the world does revolve around Giteaus proffesional integrity, all things that are great at the Capital, and you speaking in pathetic self indulgent riddles while keeping the "fence" firmly wedged between each of your butt cheeks.
As you were, please feel free to take over this thread with your Brumbies twaddle too.

How does one become a member of the Board - a lot of us on here are members but I've never been invited to an AGM or seen a set of figures.
It's a secret squirrel organisation - find it odd that there is no marketing direction from the board.
