However Gerry, the Great Sausage Shortage, which first manifested itself about 6.45 PM, was a cause of much distress and disappointment.
The extent of this problem became even more evident after the match, when famished TWFers were unable to fortify themselves in preparation for the long trip home.
This most serious issue put a blight on the entire evening. It made the Irish Potato Famine of '46 appear insignificant by comparison, and will need to be addressed before the next home game.
The Grovsvenor IMHO is a better venue to show the game - and it's just around the corner from Fenians - we tend to go there every S14 Fri as it's also just around the corner from work.
My challenge is to find the ultimate rugby pub who actually have their wide screens set to the proper aspect ratio! ie I would rather watch rugby on a normal 4:3 "square" screen than be insulted by these places that call themselves a "sports bar" who proceed to stretch the same image to fit a 16:9 screen - it astounds me! Plus with commentry on nice and loud.... am I asking too much?
* So far I have only found a pub in Narrogin (god bless 'em!) and the Vic in Subi who have managed to figure this out...
