Web Hosting Plans

As I mentioned previously, with a recent account upgrade, I can now also offer web hosting on TWF. These are on Australian based servers - the same server that TWF runs on - and are good value for business sites.

These can be pretty much customised to your needs, but as an idea of what you can expect to pay here is a rough price guide:

Plan1: 50MB Disk Space, 500MB data transfer/month: $30 annually
Plan2: 100MB Disk Space, 1000MB data transfer/month: $50 annually
Plan3: 200MB Disk Space, 2000MB data transfer/month: $75 annually
Plan4: 500MB Disk Space, 5000MB data transfer/month: $100 annually

All plans come with cPanel access, Apache, PHP, MySQL databases, email accounts/email forwarding and fantastic support

I recommend Domain Names, Shared Web Hosting and Site Design Tools - MyDomain for domain name registrations and given I use them myself am able to offer help with getting things sorted.

If you want web hosting for a personal account only (photo album for friends/family etc) I recommend Jumba - these are similar prices to the first few above with 10 times the disk space/bandwidth!

If you require more bandwidth/disk space, I may be able to help, or I can definitely recommend someone who can.

If you are happy with hosting on US based servers, there are a myriad of companies which offer very affordable packages with HUGE allocations of bandwidth/disk space - this often comes at some cost of speed when being accessed from Australia and are occasionally susceptible to international network issues, but are an absolute bargain. Let me know if you need some suggestions on where to look.

I have no affiliate deals with Jumba or MyDomain and recommending them is my personal opinion only based on my experiences with them.

As an example, We Need Corners - A Rectangular Stadium For Perth! uses 'Plan1' and was setup in a matter of minutes with a few clicks of the mouse using the cPanel that comes with all plans.

Thanks! I'll lose my free website via ISP option when I move (it's currently only in design stage anyway as one or two other issues are currently higher priorities for my time!) - so when I'm at leisure in Perth I may well set something up!
