Speaking of religious fervour, have you heard about the Irishman who supports Kalamunda?
Apparently he was at a game earlier this year when Kala wasn't doing so well, and were four points behind with forty five seconds to go.
The Paddy was besides himself. Like all good Catholics , in his desperation he turned to God.
"Please God" he said, "just let us score one last try. I'll go to Church on Sundays. I'll take the Sacraments. I'll observe the Holy Days of Obligation. I'll give up drinking for Lent. Just let us score one last try!"
Just as he finished saying this, the Kala winger scooped up a loose kick and made a miraculous run down the side line to score a try.
"Ah, don't worry about it now, we've scored one."
