10 team expansion next year (2009/2010) with another expansion the year after that (2010/2011).
More rectangular events. This just goes to show the shortsightedness of the state government as usual. Planning for what is needed now and not the future

were does the Glory play now, dont they have a rectangular stadium?
they do
17,500 capacity Members Equity Stadium. Rumblings suggest they aint happy with it though. Apparently the facilities at the ground are still pretty ancient

is it worthy of redevelopment or just shite?
it was redeveloped 4/5 years ago from an oval ground with temporary stands in rectangular configuration to what it is now. The state government promised $25 million to upgrade the ground again if Perth was awarded the 4th franchise and were still playing at spewbiaco oval

The main grandstand building i believe is Heritage listed (heritage listing is so easy over here, dont get me started on it). I don't think the whole ground needs to be bulldozed. It's pretty good at ground level. The main grandstand would have to built around. I think the main problems come from the stadium facilities.

it is also interesting to note that the A-League are preparing to introduce salery cap concessions for the Glory as potential players are not keen on moving to Perth due to the high cost of living either the highest in Australia or 2nd only to Sydney (i don't remember which one it was)
