Tucked away in amongst gayfl stories in the Sports lift out is a story about Digby wanting to come back to the Force.
Evidently he has been telling Force teammates in the Aus A camp that he wants to come back to the West when his contract with Queensland expires at the end of 2009.
Mitch Hardy says he knows nothing of it but if he wants to talk RWA will talk.
In other matters Hardy the article says that Boof has re-signed for another year and that Valentine is about to sign this week.

re-signed sorry![]()
he realised his mistake and wants to come back? or he just not getting the game time with the reds?
YAY Boof has re-signed that is good news. And Valentine... I have mixed feelings, will have to see some of his past matches (if any).

BOOOOOOOOOOOFFFF!!!
digby? cant say i blame him for wanting to come back... i dont know how much game time he'd get. we have drew, cummins, brown, sare (or has he signed somewhere else already?), dane hp, stanners occasionally and THEN digby. hed be preferred to brown, sare and hp since he's a wallaby but is that a good thing?should be interesting...
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

are we STILL chasing valentine?
lets play this out...
valtneinecomes in. o'young starts the season for the first 2 games or so, valentine on the bench.
then that would flip.
what about chucky?
if we get valentine we are going to loose a scrumhalf who could be great if the effort was invested in him to make him great.
i think we would be better suited to train up chucky and o'young as opposed to getting someone else in, and use the money to work on the tight 5...
we DONT need Valentine!
if Digby could learn to catch and not drop opposing players on their heads. He is still a damaging ball runner.
Jury is still out on Valentine, obviously Mitchell has a plan for next year, and we probably do need a 3rd scrummie for some depth.
Good onya for re-signing Boof

thankyou. we already have C O'Y and Chucky, both are fine for the job. I'd think Mitch is just looking for experience. does Valentine have mush game time on his resumé?
he'll have a tough time getting games because we just signed up Brown, and we have a full line up for the back line.

Yay for Boof re-signing!
Edit: Sorry Gerry, has been fixed. I'd hardly be YAYing for the alternative

EXCLUSIVE: FLYING Wallaby winger Digby Ioane wants to come back to the Western Force - the club he stunned and angered by walking out on last year.
Ioane has one year left of the Queensland Reds contract he signed after turning his back on the Force but has now revealed a desire to return West.
"I want to come back. I'd love to come back,'' the speedster told The Sunday Times.
Ioane, 23, who became a cult figure in his two seasons at the Force, has not spoken to Force management or coaches.
He has recently had long chats with Force players and raised the prospect of returning.
