TEST veteran Nathan Sharpe has revealed Wallabies players will be empowered to back themselves and have a go under the regime of new coach Robbie Deans.

Sharpe, one of the senior members of the squad, provided a fascinating insight into the cultural change Deans is introducing to the national team as he sets about reclaiming the Wallabies' premier status in international rugby.

Might be on to something there Burgs..he's probably one of the few guaranteed to start. I read yesterday that no "vice-captains" have been appointed which I would speculate and say it gives Deano the opportunity to name a new captain in due course without needing to worry about a "leadership ladder".
