SCOTT SURPRISE
1 May 2008
The West Australian
Scott Johnson to coach the Waratahs?
This week’s hot rumour in Super 14 is a reported approach from NSW to the flamboyant former Wallabies assistant to replace outgoing Ewen McKenzie.
Johnson, who achieved notoriety in 2004 for dismissing New Zealand as a “poxy little island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean”, accepted a recent offer to coach the US Eagles but the word is Waratahs captain Phil Waugh and other senior players lobbied the board to pitch the position to a man they feel could revitalise the team.
BLUE, TOO
The Western Force’s most fanatical supporters, the Blue Crew(), have a chapter in Kuching, the capital of the east Malaysian province of Sarawak. But this bunch doesn’t just make a noise about rugby, it actually plays it.
The Force recently received a request from the Kuching union for kit and sent a parcel of Blue Crew shirts. The Kuching club now plays in the same colours as the Force.
RUNNING FROM BULLS
Wikus van Heerden is the latest player wanting out of Super 14 champions the Bulls. According to reports from England, the flanker has signed to play for Watford-based Saracens in the 2008-09 season.
Springbok lock Bakkies Botha is locked in legal warfare with the Bulls in a bid to get out of his long-term contract with the Pretoria team so he can move to France.
What Muppet wrote this??The Western Force’s most fanatical supporters, the Blue Crew

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Dave Hughes i believe
Dave should know that the Blew Crue are a Rent a Crowd![]()

Doesn't say online but its page 3 of today's paper/SuperRugby liftout
I saw that blue crew bit....nearly choked on my weet bix...
Indeed.. it's so easy to confuse freeloaders with fanatical supporters
I was chatting to a few of the freeloaders in my petition travels last game. Not only are they freeloaders, most of them strike me as braindead f**kwits as well
it doesn't say who wrote it in the paper either, so it may not be Dave Hughes
Harsh words Jargs... save 'em for the WAFC
A few of them said they prefered AFL but since the tickets were they liked going for a night out
A. While I'd certainly dispute the "most fanatical supporters" tag, I think he was trying to tie it in with the Blue Crew T-shirts that the Force sent.
B. I thought Johnson amended it to "two poxy islands in the Pacific"
