sounds pretty good to me trip to hongkong and as some bloke said on inside rugby tonight the missus can shop while i piss away at the rugby.....
the simple fact is that noone in oz or nz is missing out on a game as this will be a fourth fixture (instead of the normal 3).... and if it means an extra 5 mill into aru coffers to keep the likes of gits and the rest in oz rather then going to europe so be it!!!
here's to commercialism hehe!!!
im actually all for supporting this..
I know it sucks that games shouldnt be taken out of the country, but if it is for a financial reasons and no one is being disadvantaged by it, then i support it. With the ever growing threat of poaching from the northern hemisphere the ARU and NZRU need to expand there markets, and if the Japan and Hong Kong Unions can pay them $4million each/year then i say we should support it.
Like someone said earlier, that $4million could mean the difference between losing players like Giteau and Mortlock as opposed to keeping them.
Who wants some Hong Kong?
From AUD 1,495
Brother Gallagher I hear you
Hong Kong will rock, best Sevens comp around. Will put on a huge show hosting the Bled Cup. Well worth the trip north to be at this one.
BLACK IS THICKER THAN BLOOD
il be on my way back from the middle east around mid october, so if im back in time and i can find some friends who are keen to go then i will definetly be going to the match in hong kong.
Okay beige - I'll start a thread in couple of weeks. I have a couple mates outside of TWF who are up for it as well.
I am sure there are one or two people on the current NZ tour who'll need sometime to recover physically and mentally before launching into their next mission.
TOCC you'll should have a better idea of whether you moving on from pencil to ink by then.
Brother Gallagher I hear you
Remind me to warn my friend!
Would be interesting to see 1st hand whether this game has any impact...
