Just listening to the radio and evidently a streaker has run onto the field at the Gabba during Australia's run chase.
As the streaker neared the batting crease Andrew Symonds faced him..dropped the shoulder and "pole axed the streaker"
The commentators are already crying "SHAME SHAME"
Concidering he has "priors" will the big guy get "henjaked"?
why?
if he thought the player was running at him he has every right to defend himself.
havent seen the footage yet....it will be "live" on C9 in Perth in about 2 hours
wow.. jsut saw it on the news... reckon roy might be in a spot of bother
Symonds slams streaker

Controversial Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds could be in more hot water after felling a streaker with a fearsome shoulder charge in the tri-series match in Brisbane.
Symonds has had a frustrating summer on and off the field and took out his anger on the male streaker, who weaved his way onto the pitch in the 10th over.
After evading security gurads, the intruder unfortunately ran into the vicinity of Symonds, who was standing at the non-striker's end.
The towering Queenslander showed his pre-season training with the Brisbane Broncos had paid off when he unleashed a shoulder charge that launched the streaker into mid-air and sent his bare rear-end crashing onto the turf.
While the crowd loved his antics and the bemused Indians saw the funny side of the incident, it is unlikely to go down well with Symonds' employer.
Cricket Australia instructs players to stay away from pitch invaders and leave their capture to ground security.
Under the International Cricket Council Code of Conduct, any physical assault on a spectator or any act of violence during play is a level four offence, which can carry a ban of 10 or more one-day matches.
Symonds is likely to argue that the streaker veered in his direction and his lunge was made in an act of self-preservation
