I've been giving this some thought. I've tried a few ideas this week but the best so far would seem to be leaving copies of the petition in businesses which have a high turnover of walk-in customers and are owner operated. I'm getting good results from a couple of local bottleshops and barbershops. Mrs Shasta is going to place some in ladies hairdressers around town this week. It's a good idea to ask if any of the staff are into rugby or soccer. Have a talk to them and give them ownership of promoting the petition. Just tell them you'll be around every couple of weeks to see if they need any more forms.
You just need to invest in a few cheap ballpoint pens and some small bulldog clips. Tie the pen to the bulldog clip and away they go. They have people in every day and you're collecting signatures without even asking. We've a couple of months for it to run so get on it people. A little effort on this and we'll easily get our 10 thousand.
Also it's a good idea to copy and paste this poster into an e mail and send it to everyone in your address book.
