Rising Star Brown in for long haul
Dave Hughes
Western Force expect to seal a new deal with Wallabies Number 8 Richard Brown in the next fortnight.
Brown, 24, was one of the success stories of 2008, recovering from the drunken antics on Rottnest at the end of 2007 to play his was into the natioanl team nine months later.
The former Queenslander replaced Scott Fava at the back of the Force scrum last year scoring tries in successive matches against the Crusaders, Blues and Highlanders.
So great was the improvementthat he was selected on the bench for the Wallabies Tri-Nations decider against the All Blacks last September.
Further into the article it says:
Rugby manager Mitch Hardy said Browns signature on a contract extension was a priority. "Things are well advanced and it would be nice to get it done in the next two weeks," he said.
Holding thumbs!!!!
This will be another positive for the Force going forward.
One of the real standouts of last season rugby.
After the off field drama at the start of last season he sure buckled down and played some awesome rugby.
The article also had some on Gits who said something along the lines of "I have not ruled out playing for the Force in 2010"
I read that part but I thought I would wait for the online version to be put up so mudcrab could read it

Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
Good on them for the efforts. Little concerned about that last bit "mostly from the Eastern States". Not forgetting the word "mostly" but what about homegrowns? Where are we at with them?
