    October 03, 2008 - 3:21pm
    Story by: ARU

Queensland lock forward James Horwill has been ruled out of the Qantas Wallabies Spring Tour.

The 23-year-old second rower was today forced to withdraw from the trip due to the effect of on-going problems with an injury to a ligament in his foot.

No decision as to a replacement has yet been made...

i feel sorry for the guy. he has been great. but who will replace him... could it be hockings? just called up to the bench, but he is seriously wow.

    we have
    chislom
    mumm
    mcmeniman
    sharpie

mcmeniman makes me want to cry. what a waste of 17 test caps. he has done nothing with them and i think his turn is over. mumm hasnt been bad this season and im wary of chilsom, not sure why thoug... what do the other states have to offer as far as locks go? i say hockings is looking at a call up

Hockings shoulder might not be up for Wallabies duties yet, I'd love to see him there but not at the expense of his shoulder fully recovering.

    Poor Horwill.

Would be interesting to see Kimlin have a go.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Think you may be on the money again re Kimlin Tommy.
Should be a Chisholm/Sharpe first pick second row now though.

This is real bad news, he's the only other lock within co-ee after Sharpie. Oh Well, it does make Tommy's chances of getting into the squad before 2011 look a fair bit better, but I'd reckon now's a bit early, both from a rehab and a general development point of view......Of course I didn't think rabbit would have a shot either!

i actually thought Sharpe should have being left off the tour to start with, his place should have being taken by Kimlin, now that Horwill is out i would have then included Hockings.

But since Sharpe is on the tour i guess Kimlin will get the callup.
