Hi Guys,
I think it would be a pity for Sharpie to retire this year, I think he had one of the best season in his career at the moment and we really need him NEXT YEAR.
Is it possible to organize whatever it is during the last home game to say "SHARPIE ANOTHER YEAR" instead of us saying "THANK YOU SHARPIE". I know it will be a slight chance that he is going to reconsider his retirement but I think we should give it a go.
Although we would all like him to keep playing wqerti, it sounds like he really wants to spen some time with the kids who are at a crucial age. He is a warhorse, and we should respect his needs and not try to flog him

Where his family will be based then? Yes, I am aware that he want to spend more time with his family and I apppreciate it. But I believe EWF still need him, perhaps he can be hired on "consultant" basis to motivate or monitor our players, I think his presence even though off-the-field has an impact.
defo agree he should be retained in some capacity, its how we can build a culture

True champions leave the game on their terms, not when they get a tap on he shoulder!... Sharpies legacy is certain at the force, he doesn't need to play another year if he doesn't want too!...

It's good to see some of the older players around the club ie spanner. You are correct it builds a culture that the fans can the appreciate more.
Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
i dont think anyone can begrudge him whatever he chooses to do.
I hope your idea gets up. It would be a great send off for a truly great man.
I hope all TWF ers are drumming up support to get really big crowd to give the big man a great send off at his last home game and to indicate thanks for a remarkable performance over the last seven years. This club would not have been the same without him.
I'd rather see Sharpie end on a high note rather than coming back for one more season and not perform as well...![]()
